Spain
Spain is infamous for winemaking, and is the third-largest wine producer in the world. Its formidable wines from 12 distinct wine-making regions include Tempranillo, Garnacha and Monastrell red grape varieties, and Verdejo, Palomino and Albariño white varieties.
Cava and sherry also draw in the wine connoisseur, and are the perfect top and tail to Spanish meals. Speaking of food, Spanish tapas experiences are not to be missed. Each region, and even town, will have its famous dish, plus those classics you come to expect—skilfully preserved meats, marinated and chargrilled seafood, olives, and of course, paella.
